For in and out, above, about, below,
'Tis nothing but a Magic Shadow-show,
Played in a Box whose Candle is the Sun,
Round which we Phantom Figures come and go.

An on-line Photography Exhibit

Welcome to my web site devoted to photography. Here you will find over eighty images organized into three galleries, and an accompanying Artist's Statement. There is also a page unrelated to photography, devoted to the Cornelius family name and history.

The images on this site are from the era before digital photography became practical. They were shot on film, mostly with a medium format Pentax 6x7, and digitized with a flatbed scanner. In those long-ago days, bandwidth was limited and the images were deliberately kept small. Since 2005 my work has been entirely digital, and is found on the photo-sharing web service Flickr. I now have more than 2000 high-quality images there. They can be viewed without registration or membership.

Full many a glorious morning have I seen
Flatter the mountaintops with sovereign eye,
Kissing with golden face the meadows green,
Gilding pale streams with heavenly alchemy...

-William Shakespeare, Sonnet 33
